Wayne College early registration makes transition to college easy

Beginning college can be an anxious time for new students. Whether a recent high school graduate or an adult starting over, their concerns are the same including what classes to take, deadlines to meet, and the first day of school. At The University of Akron Wayne College, students can register early in the spring for the upcoming fall schedule, ensuring a stress-free summer that helps give them the confidence they need as they begin their college career.

The deadline for early registration at Wayne College is March 1. As an added incentive, students who take advantage of early registration this year are also entered in a drawing to win several prizes. The grand prize is $300 toward textbooks. Four first prizes include $50 Barnes & Noble Bookstore gift cards that are redeemable at the Wayne College bookstore location and at other Barnes & Noble stores. March 1 is also the deadline to apply for scholarship opportunities at the college.

According to Sarah Jane Morrow, admissions counselor at Wayne College, students who register early are more likely to get the classes and schedule they want, which is especially important to those who work and have other responsibilities outside of school. “At Wayne College the student comes first. By taking advantage of early registration, new students can enjoy the best course selection and ensure a stress-free summer before coming back to campus in the fall,” she said. She also points out that students receive acceptance letters sooner and assessment testing is easier to schedule due to less conflicts.
