Wilford Conn
Dr. Wilford D. Conn, 72, of Mays Landing, N.J., died Feb. 16, 2011, at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point, N.J.
Wilford was born May 21, 1938, in Hawaii, to the late Theodore and Mary Conn, and married Roberta Mattis on July 10, 1982. She survives. He received his DDS degree in 1963 from The Ohio State College of Dentistry and had practiced in Baltic, Sugarcreek, and New Jersey. He was a member of the Ohio State Alumni Association, Holmes County Sports Hall of Fame, and New Jersey State Dental Association.
Wilford was a kind and generous man with a warm and infectious personality that made everyone he met his friend. He loved his family very much and especially enjoyed supporting his grandchildren in all their interests and activities.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, David (Kathy) Conn of Mays Landing, N.J., Dawn (Tom) Lee, Michael (Rebecca) Conn, and Kellie (Eric) Smith, all of Berlin, and Jerri (Scott) Goranson of Millville, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert (Charlotte) Conn of Wooster.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Ted, Howard, Merwyn, and Gerald Conn.
Private services were held Feb. 19, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, Northfield, N.J. Cremation has taken place.
