Perry Rine

Perry Howard Rine, 87, of Killbuck, died March 9, 2011, at Sycamore Run Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Perry was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Nashport, to the late Dora Jim and Mary Rine. He worked for the Buckeye Pipeline Company for over 36 years and had served as assistance chief of the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Killbuck Church of Christ.

Surviving are children, Mary (William) Ridgway of Howard, Len (Connie) Rine of Frazeysburg, Charles Rine of Mt. Vernon, Dianne (Dr. Dave) Dunbar of Lancaster, and Dora Jean Able (Tim Miller) of Wooster; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Mary) Rine, Paul (Charlotte) Rine, and Carl Rine, all of Newark, and Louis (Bettie) Rine of Hartline, Wash.; sisters, Inez (Irvin) Barcus, Bertie (Gale) Hill, and Dorothy (Arthur) Flowers, all of Newark, and Buelah Blethen of Clearwater, Fla.; stepchildren, Janet Ochs and Rita Norris of Killbuck and Gayle Patterson of Millersburg; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his second wife, Maggie; brother, Robert Rine; sister, Irene Morrison; a granddaughter, Tiffany Ridgway; and stepsons, Edward and Richard Norris.

Services will be held March 14, at 2 p.m., at Killbuck Church of Christ, with Pastor John Damron officiating. Burial will follow in Killbuck Cemetery. Calling hours will be March 13, from 2-5 p.m., at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
