Marjorie Steiner

Marjorie Mae “Marge” Steiner, 84, of Orrville, died April 2, 2011, at Aultman Hospital, Canton, following a period of declining health.

Marge was born May 17, 1926, in Orrville, the daughter of the late Merle and Elizabeth Hartzler. She was a 1944 graduate of Orrville High School. Marge was united in marriage to Merritt P. Steiner on Oct. 24, 1946. He survives. She was a homemaker most of her life, and briefly during World War II had been employed at the Will-Burt Company, Orrville. She was a member of Orrville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where she had served as local and district president of the Women’s Missionary Prayer Society, and was involved in many other church activities. She had enjoyed sewing, quilting, and reading.

In addition to her husband, Merritt, Marge is survived by children, Stephen (Becky) Steiner of McAllen, Texas, Eric (Sharon) Steiner of Medina, Cindy (Tom) Osenga of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Julia (Jon) Bollback of Winter Springs, Fla.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jean (Lester) Feltis of Orrville and Betty Ann (Russell) Forrer of Wooster.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, David Steiner.

Services were held April 5, at Orrville Christian and Missionary Church, with Revs. Ray Pfahler and Ramsey Wallace officiating. Burial was in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
