Mildred was born May 12, 1923, in Carrollton, to the late Walter and Eva Donaldson, and married Bruce K. Simon on Dec. 9, 1943. He survives.
Mildred retired in 1981 from OARDC Veterinarian Services Department where she worked with turkeys and swine on parvo viruses. She was a member of Living Water Community Church, Dalton, and was a leader in Bible Study Fellowship at Wooster United Methodist Church. She sang in the choir for 28 years at Apple Creek United Methodist Church, where she was a member.
Mildred was a good seamstress and finished a quilt last summer. Mildred and Bruce traveled the U.S. and Canada in their RV and spent many summers camping with family.
In addition to her husband, Mildred is survived by daughters, Elizabeth (Jim) Hirst of Dalton and E. Nash Simon of Worthington; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth (Ron) Fike of Wooster; and brother, Richard (Dorothy) Donaldson of Worthington.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Ellen Fike and Leah Wolford; brother, Robert Donaldson; and a great-grandson.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held April 16, at noon, at Living Water Community Church, Dalton, with her grandson, Pastor Mark Hirst, and Pastor Regina Miller officiating. Family graveside services will be in Apple Creek Cemetery.
