Pete Kuhns
Bishop Pete M. Kuhns, 49, of Berlin, died April 21, 2011, following a brief illness.
Pete was born August 19, 1961, in Wooster, to Ella and the late Monroe M. Kuhns. He was a member of the Amish Church, Berlin District, where he was ordained minister in 1988 and ordained bishop in 2001. He also was co-owner of Millers Storage Barns.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Kuhns, whom he married Sept. 25, 1982; children, Eric (Kari) Kuhns and Heidi (Reuben) Miller, both of Berlin, and Wesley, Amy, Kari, Caleb, Lillian, and Angelie, all of the home; three grandchildren; sisters, Esther (James) Long of Wooster and Leanna (Arlen) Hershberger of Fredericksburg; and brothers, Steve (Judy) Kuhns of Sugarcreek and Mark (Susan) Kuhns of Leesburg.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Kuhns; and son, Robbie Kuhns.
Services were held April 24, at the residence, with Minister Ben Coblentz officiating. Burial was in Kuhns Cemetery, Berlin Township, Holmes County.
