Norma J. Aukerman, 73, of Garden City, S.C., formerly of Orrville, died May 18, 2011, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, following a short illness.

Norma was born April 24, 1938, in Mt. Eaton, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Twila Lemmon. She was united in marriage to Robert H. Aukerman on August 4, 1956. He survives.

Norma was a homemaker most of her life and had resided in Garden City for the past 10 years. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Orrville. She enjoyed gardening, auto racing, and had an extensive angel collection.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by daughters, Connie (Hank) Bowen and Roberta (David) Jones, both of Orrville, and Sally Cormell of Smithville; son, Pat (Diane) Aukerman of Orrville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Glenda Lemmon of Wooster; brother, Richard (Donna) Lemmon of Wooster; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held May 24, at Auble Funeral Home, Orrville, with Rev. Randy Gehres officiating. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville.
