International speaker and author, Carol Kent, to make guest appearance at Orrville Christian Church retreat
The Orrville Christian Church will host “P911: RU Sending the Right Message?” on June 17 and 18 for area ladies. International speaker Carol Kent will speak on sending a message of hope, turning fear into faith, and becoming a woman of influence. Lisa Troyer will lead the worship each service.
The cost for the event is $30 for the full retreat; $10 for Friday only, or $25 for Saturday only. To register, go to http://www.orrvillechristian.org and download the registration form, or call the church at 330-682-3686. Registration deadline is June 12.
Check-in begins Friday night at 6:30, and the Sending a Message of Hope session begins at 7 p.m.
Saturday begins with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and Turning Fear into Faith at 9:30 a.m. A box lunch from Panera Bread will be at 11:30 a.m. Choice of sandwich is on the registration form. The final session, Becoming a Woman of Influence, begins at 1 p.m.
Kent is best known for being dynamic, humorous, encouraging and biblical. She is a former radio show co-host and her messages have been featured on Focus on the Family, Time Out for Women, and Heritage Keepers events. She has also been featured at the Extraordinary Women and Women of Joy events.
She is president of Speak Up Speaker Services, a Christian speakers’ bureau, and the founder and director of Speak Up with Confidence seminars, a ministry committed to helping Christians develop their communication skills.
Kent’s love for the Lord and her passion for equipping, encouraging, and empowering people to live for things that matter shines through her books and presentations. Her readers are irresistibly drawn to see God’s astonishing “grace places” in the middle of their roadblocks.
