AultCare awards scholarships to high school seniors
Local students have been recognized for their spirit of leadership, teamwork and academic excellence with AultCare Team Spirit Scholarships. AultCare is awarding each of the high school seniors a $2,000 scholarship.
Students attending high schools in Carroll, Holmes, Stark, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties were eligible to apply. The scholarship recipients were chosen from a pool of 187 applicants, who submitted an essay about why they believe themselves to be a team player. Winners were chosen based on their essay, school and community involvement throughout their high school career, and need for financial assistance. All applicants were required to be pursuing a two- or four-year degree at an accredited school and have a 2.5 or greater GPA. The recipients, listed by county, with their high school, prospective major, and college or university are:
Tuscarawas
- Kolton Nay, Dover High School, Spanish Education, Goshen College
- Kimberly Rippeth, New Philadelphia High School, Journalism, Ohio University
