Orrville produced multiple All-Ohioans in Division II as Joel Zook, Tre Simpson, Stewart Turner Jr. and Drew Brenner took eighth place in the 4 X 200-meter relay, while Turner Jr. also finished fifth in the 100-meter dash, Brenner took eighth in the 300-meter hurdles and Sam Reusser finished eighth in the shot put competition. Dalton also came home with multiple All-Ohioans in Division III as the Bulldogs 4 X 200-meter relay team of Derek Reinhardt, Gavin Hackett, Greg Blevins and Will Silvis took third place, while Silvis also finished fifth in the 100-meter dash and fourth in the 200-meter dash, and Hackett took sixth in the 110-meter hurdles and eighth in the 300-meter hurdles.
Smithville also returned home from Columbus with a Division III boys All-Ohioan as Matt Shoup finished seventh place in the 300-meter hurdles.
Over on the girls’ side, Rittman’s Crystal Barber became Wayne County’s only State champion, as she won the Division III 200-meter dash before finishing third in the 100, while Lady Indians teammate Tresa Hartzler became an All-Ohioan by taking eighth place in the 1,600-meter run.
Triway’s 4 X 400-meter relay team of Abby Strock, Kassi Krebs, Shannon Hageman and Tessa Brooks achieved All-Ohio status with a fifth-place finish, while Strock also stepped to the podium in fifth place of the Division II 400-meter dash.
Orrville produced a DII All-Ohioan as Alexa Jarrett took fifth place in the pole vault competition, while Dalton came home from the state capital with a two-event All-Ohioan in Division III after Mikayla Raff finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles and eighth in the 300-meter hurdles.
Norwayne celebrated two DIII All-Ohio relay teams after the State meet as Lauren Grier, Riane Stahl, Abby Hanzie and Katelyn Moore took second place in the 4 X 100, while McKenzi Mocilnikar, Stahl, Hanzie and Moore finished third in the 4 X 200.
And Smithville’s Erin Moomaw took the long route to the All-Ohio podium, taking fourth place in the grueling 3,200-meter run.

Orrville
Red Riders junior Stewart Turner Jr. became an All-Ohioan in the Division II 100-meter dash, stepping to the podium in fifth place after crossing the finish line at the 11.18 mark.
Red Riders junior Drew Brenner became an All-Ohioan in the DII 300-meter hurdles, finishing in eighth place with a time of 40.01.
Red Riders senior Sam Reusser became an All-Ohioan in the DII shot put, taking eighth place with a throw of 52-07.00.
The Red Riders 4 X 200-meter relay team of freshman Joel Zook, senior Tre Simpson, Turner Jr. and Brenner became All-Ohioans after reaching the podium in eighth place with a time of 1:30.80.
Dalton
Bulldogs senior Will Silvis became an All-Ohioan in the Division III 100-meter dash, stepping to the podium in fifth place after crossing the finish line at the 11.34 mark.
Silvis became a two-event All-Ohioan by taking fourth place in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line at the 22.87 mark.
Bulldogs senior Gavin Hackett became an All-Ohioan in the DIII 110-meter hurdles, stepping to the podium in sixth place with a time of 15.45.
Hackett also became a two-event All-Ohioan by taking eighth place in the 300-meter hurdles after crossing the line at the 40.35 mark.
The Bulldogs 4 X 200-meter relay team of senior Derek Reinhardt, Hackett, senior Greg Blevins, and Silvis achieved All-Ohio status in DIII, finishing third in Columbus with a time of 1:29.97.
The Bulldogs 4 X 100-meter relay team of Reinhardt, Hackett, Silvis and Blevins finished in ninth place with a time of 44.28.
Blevins finished 14th in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash, crossing the line at the 11.55 mark but failing to reach the finals.
Smithville
Smithies junior Matt Shoup became an All-Ohioan in the Division III 300-meter hurdles, taking seventh place with a time of 40.26.
Shoup finished 13th in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles, crossing the line at the 15.81 mark but failing to reach the finals.
Waynedale
Golden Bears junior Derek Bunker finished 13th in the Division III long jump competition with a jump of 20-04.25.
Golden Bears senior Cody Carpenter finished 15th in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash, crossing the line at the 51.95 mark but failing to reach the finals.

Orrville
Lady Red Riders junior Alexa Jarrett became an All-Ohioan in the Division II pole vault competition, taking fifth place after clearing 10-09.00.
Lady Red Riders junior Nicole Gregor finished 10th in the DII preliminaries of the 100-meter hurdles, failing to reach the finals with a time of 15.32.
Gregor also finished 15th in the preliminaries of the 300-meter hurdles, crossing the line at the 47.51 mark but failing to reach the finals.
Triway
Lady Titans junior Abby Strock became a Division II All-Ohioan in the 400-meter dash, finishing in fifth place with a time of 57.82.
Strock finished 15th in the preliminaries of the 200-meter dash, crossing the line at the 26.46 mark but failing to reach the finals.
The Lady Titans 4 X 400-meter relay team of Strock, senior Kassi Krebs, senior Shannon Hageman and sophomore Tessa Brooks achieved All-Ohio status with a fifth-place finish, as they completed their race in 3:57.20.
Dalton
Lady Bulldogs senior Mikayla Raff became a Division III All-Ohioan in the 100-meter hurdles, taking sixth place with a time of 15.59.
Raff became a two-event All-Ohioan by taking eighth place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 46.92.
Lady Bulldogs senior Jess Smith failed to register an official height in the DIII pole vault competition.
Norwayne
The Lady Bobcats 4 X 100-meter relay team of sophomore Lauren Grier, freshman Riane Stahl, senior Abby Hanzie and senior Katelyn Moore became silver medal winning Division III All-Ohioans by finishing as the runners-up with a time of 49.81.
The Lady Bobcats 4 X 200-meter relay team of senior McKenzi Mocilnikar, Stahl, Hanzie and Moore also reached the podium as All-Ohioans, taking third place with a time of 1:44.88.
Rittman
Lady Indians junior Crystal Barber became the county’s only State champion, winning the Division III 200-meter dash in a time of 25.44.
Barber became a two-event All-Ohioan by taking third in the 100-meter dash, crossing the line at the 12.49 mark.
Lady Indians freshman Tresa Hartzler also reached All-Ohio status in the DIII 1,600-meter run, crossing the finish line in eighth place at the 5:15.47 mark.
Smithville
Lady Smithies sophomore Erin Moomaw became a Division III All-Ohioan in the 3,200-meter run, taking fourth place with a time of 11:27.86.
Lady Smithies junior Courtney Breece failed to register a legal throw in the DIII discus throw competition.
