Ruth was born May 31, 1922, in Sterling, to the late Phares and Elizabeth Brubaker. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She and her husband, John, in their retirement years were experts in making and selling their famous maple nut twist rolls and many varieties of breads.
The family wants to express their deepest thanks to the staff at Walnut Hills Nursing Home for the wonderful and loving care given to Ruth over the past five years.
Surviving are children, Esther (Myron) Hofstetter of Wooster, Martha (Vernon) Weaver of Fredericksburg, and Patrick (Jane) Miller of Smithville; six grandchildren, Pam (Todd) McAllister, Tina (Keith) Tennefoss, Jina (Steve) Sindlinger, Kevin (Missy) Weaver, Jason (Marlene) Weaver, and Sherry Weaver; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Miller, whom she married May 26, 1946; brothers, Wilmer and Mark Brubaker; and sister, Vera Payne.
Services will be held June 21, at 11 a.m., at Salem Mennonite Church, Wooster, with Pastor Tim Singenstreu officiating. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Memorial Park. Friends may call June 20, from 6-8 p.m., and one hour before services.
