With everything from hand massages, antique talks, cupcake tastings, discounts, free product samples and, of course, plenty of shopping, Main Street’s fourth annual Ladies Night Out had something for ladies of all ages.
Throughout the evening, ladies ducked in and out of stores, collecting stamps in a special Passport to Pampering used to enter their name into a drawing for a special deluxe gift basket filled with products and gift cards provided by some of the nearly 30 Main Street merchants who participated in the event.
Downtown restaurants also had special menu offerings available to the ladies as they took a break from the evening’s activities.
Even the threatening skies couldn’t keep the shoppers away.
According to Sandra Hull, Main Street Wooster executive director, this year more than 700 ladies registered to take part in the evening of fun, by far the largest number of participants in the four-year history of the event.
Ladies Night Out was presented by Main Street Wooster.
Main Street’s busy schedule of summer events includes a pair of events during Independence Day weekend. On July 1, Main Street presents Artfully Delicious, which showcases the best of the local culinary and fine arts. On July 4, the Ohio Light Opera Orchestra and Chorus will present a free community concert on the square at 7 p.m.
Main Street’s calendar of events continues in August when the Air Force Band of Flight presents a free concert August 12, at 7 p.m., on the square in downtown Wooster. Main Street caps off the summer with a concert and cruise-in featuring the band Classic Trendz, August 19, at 7 p.m.
