Rides dotted the Orrville landscape as the Orrville Firefighters Association kicked off their annual week-long Independence Day celebration on June 29 with a carnival.

Orr Park was transformed into a carnival midway when the city kicked off its week-long celebration of Independence Day on June 29.

The area in front of the baseball diamonds was filled with rides for visitors young and old, carnival games and booths offering fair food favorites, including freshly squeezed lemonade, fair fries and funnel cakes.

Orr Park was the center of activity for the entire Orrville Firefighters Association’s Fourth of July celebration.

In addition to the five-day carnival, the park played host to the 8th annual Fire in the Sky National Qualifier Girls 14 and under U.S. Amateur Softball Association Fast Pitch Softball Tournament, a corn hole tournament, a twirling exhibition, the parade and the fireworks display.
