Of special interest is the Depot and Caboose on the square. These two buildings will be open for the first time for people to see the work that has been done in the interior of each building. The Caboose will have dolls and children’s toys. The Depot features woodworking and cabinet making equipment. Joe Irvin and Paul Locher will be in the Depot to sell and sign their most recent book, Artistry of the Cabinetmaker. This book features the Amish, Brethren, Mennonite, and other cabinetmakers from Wayne County between 1806 and 1900. The book contains many photos of furniture from this period of time.
The other buildings in the Pioneer Village will be open. These include the Tin Shop, the Village Blacksmith, the Sheller Log House, the Pioneer Log Cabin, the Village Pottery, the LyDo Barn filled with agricultural tools and equipment, and the Historic Church of God.
The Mishler Weaving Mill and Gift Shop will also be open. The Mill is located at 381 East Main St.
