Local Roots Market and Café brings a summertime Artisan Day to the market on Saturday, July 23. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., stop by the market to meet many of the artists, crafters, and other artisans selling their products at Local Roots, including a handful of new producers.

The artisan members have a wide variety of beautiful and practical items available for sale: wool and handspun yarn, needle-felted jewelry and hats, knitted garments, pottery, handmade greeting cards, wooden cutting boards and serving trays, finely-crafted jewelry, and much more. Whether you’re looking for a birthday gift, a small thank-you, or a special treat for yourself, you’re sure to find something unique at the market.

It’s hot outside, so come into Local Roots and find out what’s cool from local artisans!

Don’t forget to visit the Local Roots Café for brunch and lunch items made with local produce, breads, cheeses, and meat. Try a soda made with Simple Products’ raspberry or blueberry syrup for a refreshing summer cooler, or enjoy a dish of Hartzler’s vanilla ice cream or something sweet from the bakery case while you shop.

As a year-round market for locally-produced foods and other agricultural products, Local Roots Market is located at 140 S. Walnut St. in Wooster. The market is open Wednesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Membership is not required to shop. To learn more about weekly news and events at the market, visit the website at www.localrootswooster.com and sign up for the newsletter.
