The Kiwanis Club of Wooster recently announced the organizations that have been awarded financial grants from the club in the third quarter of 2011. The third quarter of the Kiwanis fiscal year encompasses April 1- June 30.

- Kiwanis International Foundation – ELIMINATE project

- Ohio District Kiwanis Foundation

- People to People (Back to School project)

- Salvation Army (Coats for Kids project)

- Special Olympics – Field of Dreams game

- Troop 61, Boy Scouts of America

- Wooster Hope Center

- Wooster Fire Department (Pediatric transport devices)

The Kiwanis Club salutes the work each of these organizations does for Wooster and the world, and looks forward to continuing their relationship with each into the future. The Kiwanis Club of Wooster raises dollars to support these and other community organizations via fundraising events, which include the College Hills Honda – Wooster Kiwanis Golf Classic (to be held on Monday, Sept. 12) and the AAUW/Kiwanis book sale (held annually the last weekend of September).
