It’s time to hit the waves and take to the open water in search of action, and for those who love the challenges of water skiing, this could be a chance to stretch your boundaries.

Time slots are still available for the upcoming Wakeboard Clinic, which will take place at Lake Buckhorn August 4 and 5. The clinic is designed for beginners, as well as wakeboarders who are simply trying to improve their skills.

“It’s an awesome experience,” said Mike Kline, clinic promoter. “It’s easy to get hooked on it because it is such a huge adrenaline rush. There’s nothing else like it. We had a number of young kids in the area a couple years ago who really got good, but they have since moved down south. We’re looking for the next generation now.”

Professional wakeboard coach Dave Brisco, one of the sports most respected coaches and teachers, will be on hand to give lessons. Known simply as The Wakeboard Coach, Brisco has taught thousands of riders, from beginners to top riders.

“He is an amazing teacher who can have even beginners up and riding in a pretty short time,” said Kline.

Anyone interested can contact Kline at 330-231-1741.
