Woosterfest will be holding its 27th annual celebration in downtown Wooster on Friday, Sept. 30, from noon to 11 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 1, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce presents this two-day event with arts and crafts vendors, food concessionaires, classic/antique cars, and more. Friday features a cornhole tournament while Saturday will feature a local talent show, fall mum sales, and the return of the beer stein race. Also on Saturday is Kinderplatz, the place for kids, with many different activity stations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., including the return of pumpkin decorating, jumping inflatables, and Sparkles the Clown.

Free live entertainment featuring a variety of musical sounds will begin Friday with the sounds of SOBOS and Midnight Special on the main stage. The entertainment continues Saturday with the sounds of local favorite DTz and the rock sounds of AfterMath on the main stage. The side stage will feature Michael Kelsey on Friday and Atomic Lounge on Saturday. Once again this year participants will have the chance to grab some cash at the money machine, which will run at several times throughout the weekend.

For more information or contest registration, contact the chamber at 330-262-5735 or by fax to 330-262-5745 during regular business hours, or log on to http://www.woosterchamber.com.
