Mt. Hope still atop the league in Mt. Eaton

Mt. Hope continued to dash the hopes of its opponents during Fall Youth League Basketball at The Pier action, on Thursday, Sept. 22, as Kevin Keim scored 14 points to lead his team to a 42-37 win over Pleasant Valley Buildings, keeping Mt. Hope undefeated on the young season.

But on the other end of the spectrum, Jason Yoder’s 23-point effort wasn’t enough to push Walnut Creek past Silverstone, as the team from the far eastern portion of Holmes County dropped to 0-4 on the year with a 13-point loss.

Fall Youth League Basketball at The Pier Lighthouse of Hope, in Mt. Eaton, will continue each Tuesday and Thursday evening through Tuesday, Oct. 25.

The Lighthouse of Hope provides recreation, fellowship and programs in a Christian environment.
