The Smithville Community Historical Society will meet Monday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., in The Historic Church of God, 147 North Milton St., Smithville.

Sam Sheller and the Sheller family will present the history of Sheller Meats, which started 100 years ago in Smithville.

Officers to be elected at the meeting are vice president, general maintenance, and publicity chair/newsletter editor.

Nancy King and Patty McFadden are in charge of refreshments.

The public is invited.
