Virginia L. Shoenfelt, 84, of Orrville, formerly of Wooster, died Oct. 31, 2011, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center, following a period of declining health.

Virginia was born Sept. 13, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Lester and Nedra Stephens, and married Lowell R. Shoenfelt in 1947. He died in 1965.

Virginia worked in the production plant at the J.M. Smucker Company, Orrville, for 16 years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and animals, especially cats.

Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Shoenfelt of Orrville; grandchildren, Heath (Claire) Shoenfelt of France, Heather (Will) Crayton of Killbuck, and Holly Shoenfelt of England; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Alberta Ludwig of Middletown.

There will be no services. Cremation will take place and burial of ashes will take place in Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville.
