Joe Hershberger
Joe D. Hershberger, 83, of Millersburg, died Nov. 5, 2011, at his residence, from congestive heart failure.
Born June 26, 1928, Joe was a son of the late Dan E. and Mary Ann Hershberger. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are his wife, Erma Hershberger, whom he married March 2, 1950; children, Anna Yoder and Sara (Andrew) Miller, both of Millersburg, Mary (Harry) Miller of the home, Erma (Mose) Raber of Millersburg, and Esther (Melvin) Miller of Fredericksburg; 35 grandchildren; a foster granddaughter; and 97 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Fannie; son-in-law, Abe Yoder; brothers, Levi and Andy, and two infant brothers; sisters, Clara and Anna; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Nov. 8, at 9 a.m., at the Hershberger residence, with Bishop Atlee J. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Hershberger Cemetery, Berlin Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the residence.
Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek, is handling arrangements.
