New this year will be milk and cookies at Fire Station #1 on S. Vine at 5 p.m. while children and their families gather to wait for the arrival of Santa Claus. The Orrville Firefighters Association has arranged local transportation for Santa. Listen for the fire truck siren to announce his arrival around 5:30 p.m.
Santa will magically light the Christmas tree with help from Orrville’s own Holiday Prince and Snowflake Princess and visit with children while enjoying a snack of milk provided by Smith Dairy and cookies by The Will-Burt Company before leading the way to the Orrville Public Library.
Santa Claus welcomes children to sit on his knee and tell him what they want for Christmas from 6-8 p.m. in the children’s department of the Orrville Public Library. A coupon for a free ice cream treat will be provided by Orrville Dairy Queen to all children who visit with Santa.
The Orrville Quota Club will offer pictures with Santa for just $4, with photography by Life Scapes Studios.
The Wayne County Mountain Dulcimer Players will entertain visitors at the Orrville Public Library while they wait to visit with Santa and a make-and-take holiday craft will be available for children courtesy of the Community Birth Circle.
