Carl was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Ashland County, to the late George and Mary Brennstuhl. He was in the National Guard and then served in Germany in the U.S. Army from 1947-53. He was a member of Nashville Church of Christ and was an avid gardener and bee keeper.
Surviving are his wife, Brigitta Brennstuhl, whom he married Sept. 26, 1953; children, Maria (Bobby) Blevens of Wooster and David (Ursula) Brennstuhl of Lucas; three grandchildren, Brian (Sarah) Jackson, Mindy Jackson, and Adam Brennstuhl; three great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Brennstuhl of Danville; and sister, Georgia (Kenneth) Isley of Mansfield.
He was preceded in death by a stillborn son, Charles; and brother, Gaylord Brennstuhl.
Services will be held Nov. 28, at 2 p.m., at Nashville Church of Christ, with Brad Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery, with military services being conducted by the Killbuck VFW. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Nashville Church of Christ Building Fund or the Nashville Fire Department.
