The Wooster Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 10, in the 500 block of E. North Street. Initial reports from witnesses indicate the victim was in front of a residence in the 500 block of E. North Street. The victim was confronted by two black male subjects who had taken steps to conceal their identities. A gunshot was heard and the suspects fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to Wooster Community Hospital, where he later died. This incident does not appear to be random and it is believed that the victim and the suspects were familiar with each other. At this time, the victim’s name is not being released pending notification of family.
