During the opening reception for the exhibition Dec. 13, the public had the opportunity to meet Spires while enjoying refreshments and live musical entertainment by local singer Jeanne Miller.
The exhibit concluded with a closing celebration Dec. 13 during which Spires demonstrated the techniques he uses to create his unique pottery. Providing the musical backdrop for the closing event was local musician Gretchen Pluess.
The 120 Artists CoOp brings together 16 talented local artists who work in such varied media as pottery, jewelry, sculpture, glass, metal, watercolors, acrylics, pencil and oils. The organization’s goal is to provide up and coming and established artists with an outlet to share their talents while providing the local community with reasonably priced art.
