To the Editor:
I wish to personally thank everyone who turned out and voted for the recent Medway Drug Enforcement Levy Nov. 8. Citizens in Wayne County will continue to have a drug enforcement unit to counter the increasing drug activity we face everyday.
We see across the nation and the state of Ohio where funding for law enforcement is constantly being reduced. It is reassuring to live in a community where good people still want that sense of security, knowing we have an excellent drug enforcement unit ready at all times. The agency’s surveillance and criminal intelligence networks continue to use the state of the art technology for these modern days.
The sheriff’s office and every police department in Wayne County are committed to Medway in curbing the illegal trafficking of drugs. This levy’s success shows you care.
