The 2012 OSU Extension Ag Outlook Meeting will be held Feb. 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Fisher Auditorium on the OARDC Campus. The OSU Extension Wayne County, Farm Credit Services of Mid America, and First National Bank are working together to bring the 2012 Ag Outlook Meeting to Wayne County. Experts from Ohio State University will share their knowledge on the upcoming agricultural year. The first speaker, Barry Ward, assistant professor, production business management, will share his thoughts on land values and cash rents, current and future crop inputs outlook, and managing the margin. Next, Cam Thraen, associate professor, dairy marketing, will give the dairy market update. To complete the updates, Matthew Roberts, associate professor, grain marketing and policy, will share the factors influencing the global grain markets as we enter 2012 and what those factors mean for the decisions that farmers will face in the coming year.
