WCS officials announce weekly winner challenge in all divisions

Wayne County Speedway officials have been busy working on several different aspects of the race track this off season. Just announced for the 2012 season is the weekly winner challenge with two different race tracks.

For the 410 Winged Sprints, if the winner from Friday night at Wayne County Speedway travels to Mercer Raceway Park, and wins, they will pocket an additional $500 for the weekend.

In the Super Late Model division, if the winner from Friday night at Wayne County Speedway travels to Hilltop Speedway, and wins, they will collect an additional $500 for the weekend.

In the Modified division, if the winner from Friday night at Wayne County Speedway travels to Hilltop Speedway, and wins, they will receive an additional $300 for the weekend.

In the Pure Stock division, if the winner from Friday night at Wayne County Speedway travels to Hilltop Speedway, and wins, they will pocket an additional $100 for the weekend.

“Ryan, we are excited to announce the challenges with Hilltop and Mercer. We think this is something good for the drivers and it is always great to work with area race tracks,” stated Jason Flory, general manager. “As a driver I know how these guys won’t back down from a challenge. It will be fun for the fans to see, not just here at Wayne County Speedway, but at Mercer and Hilltop too,” Flory continued.

To be eligible for this weekend challenge, racers must win in consecutive nights. This is only valid on regular events, and no winners will count for special events.

Mercer Raceway Park is conveniently located in western Pennsylvania, just minutes from Interstates 79 and 80, with easy access from all locations. The track’s physical location is 555 Fairground Road, Mercer, PA 16127. Visit http://www.mercerracewaypark.com for any additional information.
