PNC announces appointment

James Pittman Jr.

The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. has announced the appointment of James Pittman Jr. to vice president for agricultural banking in Wayne, Ashland and Medina counties. In his new position, Pittman is responsible for agricultural banking needs for area farmers and agribusiness in the Wayne, Medina and Ashland County areas.

Pittman, a lifelong Orrville resident, has more than 15 years of banking experience, including the past 14 years with PNC Bank (formally National City and Wayne County National) in various capacities, including commercial credit, portfolio management, credit analysis, personnel management and business development positions. Most recently he served as vice president/area manager in Orrville, where he was responsible for branch operations and business and agricultural development.

A graduate of Orrville High School, Pittman earned his degree in agricultural business from The Ohio State University.

He is an active member of the community, serving as a current board member of the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club and the Orrville Area Development Foundation, member of the Exchange Club of Orrville and St. Michaels Lutheran Church as well as past board member of the Orrville Area United Way and the Orrville Historical Society. Pittman and his family reside on their farm in Orrville.
