Critchfield scholarships announced

Two law scholarships will be available to current or former residents of Ashland, Holmes, Knox, Medina or Wayne counties who have completed at least one semester of law school.

The law firm of Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston, Ltd., located in Wooster, Millersburg, Mt. Vernon, and Medina, has announced it is sponsoring two law scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year. The Critchfield Law Resident Scholarship is offered for current or former residents of Ashland, Holmes, Knox, Medina, or Wayne counties who have completed at least one semester of law school. The Critchfield Law Diversity Scholarship is offered to a minority student who has completed at least one semester of law school.

“We are looking forward to rewarding these students for their contributions to their community, as well as academic achievements,” said Daniel H. Plumly, managing partner of Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston, Ltd.

At least one award in the amount of $1,000 will be provided for each scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year. The deadline for applying for the 2012-2013 scholarships is Friday, March 30.
