Wayne E. Lisle, 87, of Wooster, died March 18, 2012, at the Wayne County Care Center.

Wayne was born May 25, 1924, in Holmes County, and was the son of the late John Milton and Rema Lisle. On Nov. 4, 1944, he married Dorothy Clark, and she preceded him in death in 1995. On May 18, 1996, he married Bernice Nolletti, and she survives.

Wayne was a 1943 graduate of Killbuck High School. He was a farmer and worked 20 years for the Wooster Water Plant. He attended Northview Alliance Church, Wooster, and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS California.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Bernice, are a daughter, Barbara (David) Miller of Wooster; stepson, Stanley Sigler of Wooster; two granddaughters; two stepgrandsons; two great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and six stepgreat-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ellouise Albury.

Services will be held March 23, at 11 a.m., at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. Burial will be in Killbuck Cemetery, with military rites being conducted by the Killbuck VFW. Friends may call March 22, from 6-8 p.m.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Northview Alliance Church or Congress Community Church.
