Glick began playing when she was 8 and has been playing professionally for about 20 years. She performs primarily classical violin music such as orchestral music, chamber music and some solo music. At her OrrVilla concert, she will be accompanied on the piano by her colleague Amanda Aeschliman.
Glick is a freelance violinist and violin teacher who holds degrees from the Manhattan and Eastman Schools of Music, where she studied with Burton Kaplan and Camilla Wicks. Glick studied chamber music with members of the American String Quartet and the Beaux Arts Trio, including a master class at Steinway Hall in New York City. She has served on the faculties of the Lucy Moses School for Music and Dance (New York, N.Y.), the David Hochstein Memorial Music School (Rochester, N.Y.), the Brevard Music Center (Brevard, N.C.), and Central Christian High School (Kidron).
In addition to her membership with the Akron Symphony and Akron Baroque, she is the assistant concertmaster of the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival Orchestra. Glick has appeared as soloist with the Tuscarawas Philharmonic, the Wooster Symphony, the Akron Lyric Opera Chamber Orchestra, the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival Orchestra, and Akron Baroque. She has appeared in numerous chamber recitals in Ohio, New York, Louisiana, Virginia and West Virginia.
Glick and her family live in Orrville and she enjoys sharing her gifts in the community where she lives. She has performed before at OrrVilla and has also brought her students to perform.
