Orrville Lions Rib & Music Fest

Orrville Lions Club volunteers enjoy ribs and music all weekend at the Orrville Lions Rib & Music Fest.


The annual Orrville Lions Rib & Music Fest will be Aug.18-19. The purpose of the event is to raise money to fund the many service projects the club does throughout the year for the community. The Orrville Lions Club serves more than 23 organizations in the Orrville community.
"The money raised at this event helps many organizations in our community," said Melissa Siburt, incoming president of the Orrville Lion's Club. "Please come to enjoy the fun and know that you are also helping the community as well. We work very hard to make sure this event is a great time for everyone. We are always in need of volunteers, so if you have an interest in helping at the event, please contact Kathi Bond at 330-466-0973. We look forward to another great year."
Orrville Lions Rib & Music Fest will be at the corner of West Market Street and state Route 57 in Orrville. Parking and shuttle pickups are available in the Orrville City Schools parking lots at 605 Mineral Springs St., Orrville. The drop-off location is in the parking lot of Dr. Bennett Optometrist office on West Market Street.
Music will kick off Friday, Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. with Stick People, followed by Lincoln Way Band at 9 p.m. The Orrville Railroad Museum will open from 5-8 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 19 festivities will kick off at 10 a.m. with children’s activities until 3 p.m., Cruise In from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (trophies presented to winner at 3 p.m.) and Orrville Railroad Museum open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Gretchen Pleuss will take the stage at 6 p.m., and awards for the Rib Competition will be presented to the winners at 7 p.m. American Idol's season-five winner Taylor Hicks of Alabama will perform at 9 p.m.
